New & Existing Technologies

Enviros is managing and delivering Defra’s WIP New Technologies Supporter Programme offering impartial advice and support to Local Authorities to help them divert Biodegradable Municipal Waste from landfill.
Enviros has a dedicated biological treatment team (including composting, and anaerobic digestion experts), dealing with the markets and technologies for processing organic wastes.
Technology Appraisals
Enviros has been involved in a variety of technology appraisals, and we are independent from any technology provider. These include Due Diligence assessments, feasibility studies for municipal waste management in technology transfer applications, and investment opportunities for private sector clients. Enviros has experience in a wide range of waste processing technologies treating both non-hazardous and hazardous feedstock.
Waste Strategies
Enviros has advised on Municipal Waste Management Strategies, the Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme (LATS), environment and health implications of waste management, and recycling and recovery based strategies. Technology appraisal for the delivery of waste strategy is a fundamental area where Enviros has considerable experience.
Procurement and Planning
We have provided procurement advice on short and long term contracts for integrated waste management services or individual contracts, including PFI, EIA and planning, evaluation of technologies and associated risks, and support for waste management procurement.
